Dean McNeill will be performing a new work (yet to be titled)
by Canadian composer Allan Gilliland (visit
Allan's website). Dean will perform the new work as a guest
artist with the National Youth Band of Canada. Click

The National Youth Band of Canada (NYB) is the Canadian Band Association's
flagship project. The CBA was formed in 1934 to "promote
and develop the musical, educational and cultural values of band
music in Canada." In 1978, 1991, and annually since 1994,
the National Youth Band of Canada has offered an unparalleled
musical opportunity for outstanding Canadian instrumentalists,
woodwind, brass and percussion, between the ages of 16 and 21.

at the U of S Murray Adaskin Conference concert, hosted in part
by the Saskatoon Composer's Society at Grovner United Church,
Saskatoon. These pieces are 'Aria for Trumpet' by David Kaplan
(with pianist Bonnie Nicholson) and 'Fanfare for Solo Trumpet'
by Murray Adaskin.

Quartet', along with Mark DeJong (sax), Soren Nissen (bass), and
John Neelin (drums). Unity Quartet will be playing at the Freehouse,
a restaurant in Saskatoon located at 608 Spadina Crescent, on
the following dates: Nov 15, 29, Dec 13 (2007),
Jan 03, 17, 31 (2008). Band starts at 9:00
PM, there is no cover charge. Unity Quartet plays a collection
of original compositions and jazz standards.

Dean McNeill will be playing the first movement of the
Hummel 'Concerto for Trumpet' with the University of Saskatchewan
Wind Orchestra at the following concerts:
1. November 16, 2007: UNIFEST Concert,
Quance Theater, University of Saskatchewan Education Building,
6:30 PM and again (separate concert) at 8:00 PM (same location).
2. November 23, 2007: Wind Orchestra

Concert for the Western Canadian Music Awards

Dean McNeill played a classical trumpet/piano concert in
Moose Jaw on October 20, 2007 for CBC Radio and as part of the
Western Canadian Music Awards. This concert was sponsored by the
Canadian Music Centre and will be broadcast on CBC Radio Saskatchewan.
